What You Need to Know: Getting Ready to Book a Vacation

When you are getting ready to book a vacation at Captain’s Quarters Resort, there are a few things to keep in mind and helpful hints that are great to have handy when getting ready to book your Myrtle Beach vacation.

The booking process isn’t hard, but planning ahead can make it even easier!

Keep these tips in mind when you get ready to book your family-friendly vacation with us:

Credit Card – Have It Ready! 

Be sure to have your credit card ready. Whether you are booking over the phone or online, you will need this during the booking process. We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. You’ll also have to bring the same credit card that you use for your deposit with you at check-in along with a matching photo ID.

If for some reason you need to use someone else’s credit card to pay for your deposit, a credit card authorization form will need to be filled out. Please call us for more information on credit card authorizations.

Payment – Just The First Night! 

When you book, the first night of your reservation will be charged to your card. The remainder will be due when you arrive to check in (or you can make payments before arrival), so you don’t need to worry about having that money ready yet. This is great when planning a vacation in advance because you then have time to save up your money to pay for the majority of your stay.

The only additional item that would be due at time of booking is the Captain's Quarters' Vacation Interruption Protection (VIP) Plan, if you choose to purchase it. It would need to be added at booking or within 24 hours of booking.

Check-In Age – It’s 21! 

Knowing the check-in age when you book is important. The person checking in must be at least 21 years or older, so that person should be the one handling the reservation.

Requests – We’ll Do Our Best To Honor 

While we do not assign your exact room until your check-in day, we do guarantee your room type. If you have any requests beyond that, for example, you’d like a higher floor or you want a room close to your extended family, you can request this at time of booking. However, we cannot guarantee requests, although we do our best to honor them as we understand how important they are to your family.

Parking Passes – Just 1! 

Keep in mind, when making your reservation, that due to limited parking we are only able to sell one parking pass per unit at check-in. If you are planning on bringing more than one car you will want to make alternative plans for where that vehicle will be during your stay. Planning ahead on this can save you the stress of finding this out when you arrive.

Maximum Occupancy – It’s Important 

Different Myrtle Beach accommodations have different maximum occupancies. When you book, be sure to indicate how many adults and children are in your group so we can process your reservation correctly. Plus, you will want to make sure that we have enough pool bands ready for your family when you arrive at our Myrtle Beach hotel!

Additional Services – Can Save You $ 

When you book online or on the phone you may be able to add certain additional services to your reservation. While available additional services may vary based on your stay dates, such options may include discounted breakfast, a food or arcade credit at a discounted price, family-friendly attraction tickets and more. Be sure to take advantage of these money-saving options during the reservation process!

Vacation Interruption Protection Plan – You’ll Want To Buy It! 

If you aren’t 100% sure you will be able to come during the dates you have chosen, but still want to make your reservation now to take advantage of money-saving deals and to ensure you have a room booked, you don’t have to worry because at the time of booking you can purchase the Vacation Interruption Protection Plan (call for pricing details!).

By having the VIP Plan, you can cancel your hotel reservation any time before 4 p.m. on your check-in day and receive a full deposit refund. Another perk is that you can make changes to your reservation if you need to. The VIP Plan really comes in handy for unforeseen circumstances like weather or illness. It’s also great to purchase if you still need to confirm your days off of work or have other reasons for being unsure of your stay dates. It also offers such a simple thing--peace of mind!
