Halloween at Captain’s Quarters Resort

Captain’s Quarters is made for families and there are fewer holidays that guarantee pure good fun like Halloween. Between the candy, costumes and parties there’s few reasons to not have a good time, especially if you happen to be staying at Captain’s Quarters during Halloween.

Halloween is kind of a big deal for this resort. The resort mascot, Salty the Shark, celebrates his birthday on October 24 so Halloween is one of his favorite holidays. Every year he hosts a Birthday Party, followed the next day by a Halloween party at the Level 6 Entertainment Center at Captain’s Quarters. This year the Halloween Party will feature costume contests for the various age groups, including adults and a family costume category. There is also a DJ and other fun activities. The party starts at 4 p.m. on October 25th and goes until 8 p.m. so make sure you don’t miss it.

You can also venture just a bit up the road from the resort and visit Ripley’s Haunted Adventure. This spooky attraction is open year-round but naturally steps up its game for Halloween.  The attraction does not permit children under 6, so it is more geared towards adult and teenage guests at Captain’s Quarters. Stop by Wednesday-Friday any time after 4 p.m. or on Saturday or Sunday after 1 p.m. to get your fill of fear.

For all age appropriate fun, visit Broadway at the Beach on Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to get your fill of treats, and not so many tricks. The merchants at Broadway at the Beach will be giving away treats for everyone in costume on Halloween, making it a great place to bring the entire family.

Keep an eye on the Captain’s Quarters events page as well as the Myrtle Beach events page for more Halloween events as they are scheduled.
