Best Sushi Near Captain’s Quarters

You can find dozens of restaurants offering sushi and other Japanese cuisine in and around Myrtle Beach. But which ones near Captain’s Quarters are worth going to? We help you figure that out without eating any sub-par sushi with our list below.

The Nakato Japanese restaurant is located in Restaurant Row at 9912 North Kings Highway and has an extensive sushi menu. Early birds are served here from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., and there is a Happy Hour daily from 4 to 6 p.m. The restaurant is family run and has been open since 1978. When dining here you will be treated as one of the family.

The Mulan Japanese Cuisine and Sushi Bar has two locations in Myrtle Beach on Oak Forest Lane and on 38th Ave North. They each have a comprehensive sushi menu as well as a good selection of entrees and combinations. This restaurant is one of the few in the area where you can also find Pho, a traditional Vietnamese noodle beef soup.

Since you’re staying at one of the VMB resorts and have a VMB Card, why not try Soho, which offers an assorted menu mix of sushi, Mediterranean and Japanese Hibachi dishes. Presentation of your card entitles you to a free appetizer with a $25 purchase of food. There is a good selection of entrée dishes and is an excellent choice if there is anyone in your party who doesn’t like seafood. This smoke free restaurant is located on 21st Ave. North.

Another restaurant that accepts the VMB Myrtle Beach discounts card is the Sugami Sushi Bar & Hibachi. The restaurant is located on North Kings Highway. Sugami has a long sushi menu as well as a selection of soups, salads and appetizers.

One final restaurant is the King Kong Sushi Bar and Grill. King Kong is a young restaurant that serves Fusion style sushi as well as Hibachi style entrees. The restaurant has two locations one at 2120 Oakheart Road in Carolina Forest (between Myrtle Beach and Conway) and one at Broadway at the Beach. Both restaurants have a fun and modern atmosphere.

If you’re looking to satisfy your craving for sushi while on vacation at Captain’s Quarters, make sure to give some (or all!) of these restaurants a try.
