Accommodations Spotlight: Oceanfront and Ocean View Efficiency

Efficiencies at Captain’s Quarters Resort are one of our most popular types of units. These are offered as both Ocean View and Oceanfront. The Ocean View units are found on the side of the building while the Oceanfront Efficiencies directly face the ocean.

These units are very similar other than their view. Efficiencies have two queen beds, which is great for small families where the parents can share one beds and one or two kids can share the other. These efficiencies also have one bathroom, plus an efficiency-style kitchen, which is always a plus when traveling.

When you have a kitchen area in your unit, you can easily makes meals to save money and prep snacks to take out on the beach. The efficiency kitchens come with a regular-sized refrigerator, a microwave (great for popcorn), stove (great for making easy dinners like spaghetti), toaster and all of the basics you will need to cook and eat with like plates, bowls, silverware and pots and pans.

The Ocean View and Oceanfront Efficiencies also come with a flat screen TV and your hotel basics like a coffee maker (coffee available upon request), safe, hair dryer in the bathroom, iron and ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi.

The layout of these rooms is very similar. When you walk into your unit, the efficiency kitchen will be on one side and the entry to the bathroom is located directly on the other side. Then, when you pass the entryway, you will be in the bedroom area where you will find both queen beds, a closet, the TV, a table with chairs and direct access to your balcony.

Both units also have a private balcony so you can enjoy views of the ocean. The Ocean View Efficiency is located on the north side of the building and has a 90-degree partial view of the ocean, while the Oceanfront Efficiency has a more direct view of the ocean and the Shipwreck Lagoon Pool.

The number of people that can stay in this unit type are no more than 4 adult family members with a max total of 5 people. So, you can have mom and dad and three kids or mom, dad, grandma and grandpa and one child, for example. Or you can book it for a couple’s getaway as well!
