Easter is fast approaching and Captain’s Quarters Resort in Myrtle Beach is ready to keep families entertained during this festive weekend.

Captain’s Quarters will be celebrating Easter with activities that the whole family can enjoy on Friday April 3 and Saturday, April 4, 2015!

Family-Friendly Easter in Myrtle Beach at Captain's Quarters ResortIf you want to try your luck at winning a prize over the weekend, pick an egg from the Easter basket at our front desk. Open it up and see what your prize is! You might win a free breakfast voucher for Vista 9, a 10% off coupon for Loco Gecko or one free shoe rental at the Level 6 bowling center!

On Friday resort guests can enjoy various children’s activities throughout the day, with one of the highlights being an appearance by Captain Sneaky and his macaw Tiki Bird from 11 a.m. to noon. Guests can pose for unforgettable photos with these fun characters. Then, at 7:30 p.m. guests can gather on the pooldeck for the brand new Pirate Show, which features a fun interactive story of a princess and pirates, allowing kids to participate in helping to free her.

Kids can then get up early on Saturday to enjoy Breakfast with Salty the Shark at Vista 9. Beginning at 8 a.m. kids and their parents can head up to the 9th floor to enjoy an oceanfront breakfast buffet and have a chance to get their photo taken with Salty. Breakfast is $9.95+tax at the door for adults and $4.95+tax for children ages 5 to 12, but can be purchased in advance for a discounted rate.

After breakfast families can enjoy the many amenities at Captain’s Quarters Resort including the large indoor poolscape featuring a lazy river, hot tubs and large pool. Or, they can relax on the oceanfront pool deck or even spend the day on the beach.

Be sure to come on out to the pooldeck from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. for the main events of the day—Easter EGGstravaganza.

This annual event is a favorite among resort guests. Families can enjoy an array of activities including the famous Captain’s Quarters Easter Egg Hunt for ages 5 to 12, face painting, an Easter Cookout (price and menu TBD) and chances to win Easter egg baskets.

Then, as the sun begins to go down, Chief Kamu will take the stage with his hula dancers for the fan-favorite Chief Kamu Fire and Hula Show. Enjoy learning more about the traditional hula dance and watch Chief Kamu perform various feats with fire. It’s a show the entire family can enjoy during their Myrtle Beach vacation, plus it’s free! This fun event is followed by a poolside movie at 8:30 p.m.
