Why you need to see the Alabama Theatre Holiday Show

The Alabama Theatre’s Christmas Show is known as the South’s Grandest Christmas Show for a reason—it’s the best around!

But if you aren’t convinced by the name alone there are some other reasons you should give the Christmas show a go if you’re staying at Captain’s Quarters or any Myrtle Beach resort soon.

It’ll get you in the spirit of the season- This holiday themed show will feature some of the classic Christmas and holiday songs everyone knows, as well as some more modern favorites.  The sets and costumes are also colorful and festive, making it hard to come away from the show without a holiday song in your heart.

It’ll make you laugh- A newer addition to the show is Emcee Grant Turner playing Ricky Mokel, a innocent and hilarious southern character that keeps guests laughing at him as well as themselves. Mokel was added to the show in 2011 and has become a favorite for many very quickly.

You’ll hear some great music- The main part of the show is the music and some of the best performers around will be singing their hearts out for audiences. Greg Rowles is one of the stars of the show and he got his start in the hit show Star Search and has been performing ever since, including at The Vatican! Other performers include Cyndi Wheeler, who has been on three Grammy nominated albums, Tammy Cochran, who had a Billboard #9 Country Singles song, and Gail Bliss, who has been embraced by the family of Patsy Cline for her tribute performances and albums.

It is a great value- The Alabama Theatre is made to let everyone seated in any position in any part of the theatre have a crystal clear view of the stage and the performers, meaning you don’t have to spend the extra money to get a front row seat (unless you really want to). You’ll be sure to get your money’s worth at this show.
