What Soccer Lovers Can Do at Captain’s Quarters

A vacation to Myrtle Beach isn’t complete without stepping outside and taking advantage of the beautiful weather. If you’re a soccer player, or just a fan, the Grand Strand has places where you can go for your soccer fix. From kicking a ball on the beach, playing a game at a local field, or watching an exciting match on a big screen in a pub, Myrtle Beach has it all.

But, when the sun begins to set and it’s time to head in, many soccer enthusiasts, or just those who enjoy being outside, forget about some of the great outdoor entertainment options still available in the area. Instead of opting to spend your time inside at one of the many local shows or eateries; consider spending your summer night cheering in the stands at one of the Myrtle Beach Mutiny games.

Myrtle Beach Mutiny is the Grand Strand’s semi-professional soccer team. Since their inaugural 2012 season, the team has been rapidly growing and gaining attention locally and nationally with their talented team of international players. In fact, just this past February, the team announced they have signed professional European soccer player, Anton Hysén to the roster.

The team hosts all of their home games at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium and Ashley Booth Field, located only three miles north of Captain’s Quarters in Myrtle Beach. The upcoming 2014 season schedule has Mutiny all-stars playing five home games. So instead of spending a warm, southern summer night inside, come out and enjoy a different kind of surf and turf.
