Veteran’s Day in Myrtle Beach at Captain’s Quarters Resort
Veterans Day will be held on Monday, November 12 this year, and gives you an excellent opportunity and excuse to get away for a weekend or longer.
It’s never too early to plan a late fall escape, and what could be better than a Myrtle Beach vacation at Captain’s Quarters? You probably won’t get the continuous high temperatures of mid-summer, but the daytime temperature is often in the 70s and can get into the 80s. November still draws plenty of people down to Myrtle Beach, and you’ll notice that the restaurants aren’t as crowded as they are in high summer.
Captain’s Quarters has a number of advantages over many other Myrtle Beach hotels and resorts. One amenity you’ll find there is the 232-foot indoor lazy river along with an indoor pool and a whirlpool. These are perfect if the weather does turn out to be chilly. Up on the 6th floor of the resort is the 2,000 square foot Entertainment Center with its video arcade and pool tables – a very popular area for kids of all ages. This level also has a Bowling Center that is also a great crowd-puller for the younger set. It features 20 AMF bowling lanes with electronic scoring. A good number of Captain's Quarter's hotel deals include a free game each day of your stay, so check for their specials. The entertainment center is also home to the Level 6 Bar where you can enjoy your favorite drinks and satisfy your appetite with a delicious order of hot wings, chicken strips, and other snacks.
A new feature for the resort is the restaurant located on the ninth floor of the resort. Vista on Nine serves breakfast on a daily basis, although winter hours may vary, so check with reception when you arrive. The restaurant serves an extended breakfast buffet, with items such as eggs, cold meats, home fries, grits, sausages, bacon, gravy, biscuits, waffles, cereals, pastries, and a range of fresh fruit & yogurt.
Captain’s Quarters is located near to the heart of Myrtle Beach and is close to all of the town’s main attractions and entertainment. November is also an excellent time of the year to try out one of the many golf packages offered by the resort. The Myrtle Beach golf courses are not so crowded and you will be free from that sweltering heat of high summer.
