Unique Things To Do Near Captain’s Quarters: SegwayYou must have seen Segways before, but you may not have experienced riding or gliding on one. Well, if you’re staying at one of the Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts why not take the opportunity of trying out this unique ride.
What is a Segway anyway? It is one of those 2-wheel machines that you stand on and glide around. They may look very precarious at first, but all of the balancing is done by a computer in the base of the machine. So if you’re tired of walking around why not glide instead? So long as you are 18 years of age or older you can give it a try!
Segway Myrtle Beach offers a number of different renting choices. You can rent by the hour or for as long as a month or even longer. If you have never ridden a Segway before, you’ll be given a training session before being ‘let loose’.
Segway offers a number of accompanied tours – there’s a 1 hour tour of the Market Common, and a longer 2 hour tour of the Huntington Beach State Park, one of South Carolina’s most picturesque wetland and wildlife reserves. This tour is well worth it, for you will see alligators, loggerhead turtles and other rare animals. Renting a Segway individually is not the only option since the company also offers corporate hire as well as hire for birthday parties, reunions, and other gatherings.
A new fun addition to their range of options is a Scavenger Hunt around the Market Common region. Segway is located in the new Market Common district next to the International Airport.
And guests at Captain’s Quarters get a great discount on their Segway adventure! When you buy one tour you can get a second one for half price just by showing your VMB card. For more details visit the Myrtle Beach discounts page.
