Summer Events at Captain’s Quarters Resort

Summer is one of the best times of year to visit Myrtle Beach. Kids are out of school, the weather is great and there are tons of activities taking place at Captain’s Quarters Resort for your family to enjoy! Best of all, many of these activities are absolutely free or very inexpensive, helping your family to save money during your vacation.

If you don’t want to leave the resort much during your vacation, then staying at a resort with a lot of activities is a good way to ensure that you will always have something to do.

Enjoy these activities all summer long at Captain’s Quarters:

2017 Daily Kids’ Activities

Throughout the week there is a full schedule of fun children’s activities, seven days a week!

Activities begin at 10 a.m. daily and run until 4 p.m. Activity choices vary by day and include such options as:

  • Beach Ball Dodgeball

  • Water Bucket Race

  • Limbo and Hula Hoops by the Sea

  • Water Balloon Hot Potato

  • XL Jenga

  • Captain Says

  • Pool Noodle Ring Toss

  • Salty’s Dance Party

Arts and Crafts will also be available daily for a small fee, but all other children’s activities are totally FREE! Kids should plan to meet on our oceanfront pool deck, weather permitting, to partake. These are designed for ages 5 to 12, but younger children may participate with a parent.

2017 Saturday Polynesian Fire Show

Join us at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evenings; weather permitting, for one of the most popular activities on property--the Polynesian Fire Show.

During this free show you can enjoy the hula dancing performances and spectacular fire show complete with tricks and feats that are amazing for everyone to watch, children, adults and grandparents alike!

2017 Family Night Poolside Movies

Join us each Monday and Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. for a free poolside, family-friendly movie!

2017 Mascot Appearances

Throughout the summer, kids have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with some of our favorite characters (be sure to bring your camera!). Meet Salty the Shark, our very own mascot, or rub the belly of Tiki Bird, a macaw that comes around with his owner--Captain Sneaky.

2017 Poolside Magic Show

Want to see some tricks? Stick around for the Greg Holt Balloon and Magic Show that takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. during the summer. You will be amazed!

2017 Glow Party

Sometimes the most fun happens after dark! Join us for our Friday night glow parties from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., including a live DJ. Entry is free, but glow party merchandise will be available for purchase.

2017 Poolside DJ

What’s more fun than hanging out by the pool on a hot summer day listening to (or dancing to) top hits spun by a fun DJ? Enjoy swimming and sunning to a live DJ from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays and Fridays.

2017 Balloontastic

Want some fun balloon animals made for your child? We will have a balloon artist on deck twisting and creating some awesome balloon creations on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Noon to 4:00 p.m. There is no charge to get a balloon animal, hat or other creation made!

And More!

Our pool deck is always a fun place to hang out during the summer on your family friendly 2017 vacation. You don’t even have to leave for lunch! We will be cooking up items on our pool side grill - located next to the Tipsy Turtle Pool Bar - daily, available for you to purchase. Plus, don’t forget all of our fun pools including lazy rivers, whirlpools and the Shipwreck Lagoon Kids’ Waterpark!
