Restaurants Near Captain’s Quarters: Moe Moons
Located almost next door to Myrtle Beach’s famous SkyWheel, Moe Moon’s is just a little over a mile from Captain’s Quarters, very conveniently placed for guests staying at the Vacation Myrtle Beach resort.
The restaurant is on the Boardwalk, and the outside patio tables offer outstanding views of the ocean and of boardwalk passers by. Once going by the name of Marvin's Sports Bar, the menu at this restaurant is very American, and very reasonably priced, with most dishes being in the $5 - $10 range.
The menu at Moe Moon’s tends towards the fast food variety, and you’ll find a choice of starters, salads, wings and hot dogs alongside tacos, burgers, sandwiches and a handful of seafood specials. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. with a Happy Hour between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. It is described as being a “nice spin” on the surf shack restaurants you usually see in Southern California.
The restaurant’s interior consists of booth tables along 2 exterior walls, a long bar and there are a handful of pool tables and other games. This is just the place to get a drink after a day on the beach. You’ll find flat screen televisions scattered through the restaurant, and on some nights there is a Country Band playing.
