New Years Eve Family-Friendly Myrtle Beach Events
Myrtle Beach is the perfect place to come to celebrate New Year’s Eve. If you live up north, it will likely be warmer here than where you live and if you don’t, well, isn’t it fun to have an excuse to come to the beach?
If you are coming and staying with us for New Year’s Eve, don’t forget about our NYE party as well as our kids’ party. Whether you want to book a package and join us at our celebration or go out, there are plenty of family-friendly New Year’s Eve events.
Beach Ball Classic: What better way to spend the day of New Year’s Eve than watching basketball with your kids? It can be a great inspiration for your sports-loving children to see some of the best high school players from all over the country! Games will take place throughout the day on New Year’s Eve at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. This is the final day of the tournament and will feature a consolation championship game at noon; 5th place game at 3:30 p.m.; 3rd place game at 5:30 p.m. and championship game at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Convention Center.
Noon New Year’s Eve Bash: The Noon New Year’s Eve Bash at the Children’s Museum of South Carolina in Myrtle Beach is great for the little ones who can’t stay awake until midnight. The children will get a chance to toast to the New Year and enjoy a balloon drop at noon. Tickets are $5 per person. Party starts at 10 a.m. so don’t be late!
Catch a show: Both Alabama Theater and Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach will be having shows on New Year’s Eve. The Alabama Theater will have two showings of The South’s Grandest Christmas Show on NYE; one at 3 p.m. and one at 9:15 p.m. The later show will feature a balloon drop and more! Legends in Concert will have a 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. show on NYE. The second show will telecast the New York City ball drop and will include party favors.
