Music in Myrtle Beach: Captain’s Quarters Musical Partners
Myrtle Beach is not by any means short of music venues. In fact visitors to Myrtle Beach Vacation resorts may even have difficulty in choosing which venue to attend. Music venues can be categorized several ways – for example by the genre or type of music – and you will find Rock, Country and Soul at the one end of the list with Classical music at the other extreme. Since people are particular about their music choices, we’ve classified the venues by the kind of music you can expect to enjoy.
Club Music- If clubbing is your favorite way of enjoying music make your way to Broadway at the Beach where at, Celebrity Square, you’ll find Celebrations Nightlife. This is a collection of four nightclubs where one cover charge gets you into all four clubs – in fact if you present your VMB Card before 11 p.m. you’ll get free entrance. Club Boca has a mixture of House and Mainstream presented by leading DJ’s and guest celebrities. Malibu's Surf Bar is a second club in the complex, and here you’ll find two DJs taking it in turns to see who can get the music pumping the better. If you tend to like a more laid back atmosphere, then you’ll probably enjoy Froggy Bottomz, a two-story live music mecca also located in the middle of Celebrity Square. A live band, Diversity, takes to the stage nightly and mesmerizes the throng with their high-energy interpretations of the most popular Chartbusters including Top 40, Rock, Country, Hip Hop, and Retro.
Karaoke- If karaoke is your scene then get yourself to Broadway Louie's, the fourth club that makes up Celebration’s Nightlife. Jake's All-Star karaoke gives a nightly performance at 9 p.m. He provides a fun filled evening where you can become a star when you give a rousing performance of your favorite song.
Oldies- Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach can make you feel like you’re taking a step back in time watching great performers of the past take the stage. With regular Elvis, Dolly Parton, Blue Brothers and Neil Diamond impersonators performing, if you like the music from decades past you’re sure to find something you like at Legends.
Country Music- The Alabama Theatre is a must-see for country music fans. Built with the famous band Alabama, this theatre has hosted some great brands and performers, including the band Alabama themselves. The main shows this year are ONE-The New Show as well as the regular Christmas Special- The South’s Grandest Christmas Show, but guest performances will include The Oak Ridge Boys, and Pasty Cline tribute artist Gail Bliss.
Rock Music- The House of Blues is a well-known name around the country, as well as in Myrtle Beach. The venue near Barefoot Landing has a regular schedule of great live music and some very well known bands will be performing this year including Flogging Molly and Chase Rice. If you like rockin’ live music, the House of Blues is the place to go.
