Loco Gecko Is Now Open!
How many resorts do you know that have a trendy, on-site restaurant that offers views of the ocean from its outdoor patio?
Loco Gecko is truly a unique, one of a kind restaurant like none other in Myrtle Beach and it is now open for the 2015 season! This Myrtle Beach restaurant will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday each weekend through March 1, 2015. Beginning March 5 the restaurant will be open daily, with extended evening hours coming in the summer.
For the warm spring and summer days it offers an outdoor patio with your choice of views of the ocean or of the boulevard. Grab a seat with your family and relax after a day at the beach beneath a table-top umbrella. Or, you can sit inside with the salty breeze flowing in through the open-aired restaurant. Plenty of tables are available and the color-changing bar is a popular option as well.
Dining here can consist of a light lunch or a filling dinner or just drinks before heading back to your room for the evening.
Some tasty starter options at this Myrtle Beach restaurant include Macho Nachos (a popular appetizer that can even be eaten as a meal), Fried Pickles (great for sharing), and Fried Cluckers (some of the best chicken fingers you’ll ever have).
For the main course, burgers are one of the most popular choices and there are many kinds to choose from including Holy Smokes (comes with Applewood smoked bacon, jalapenos and cheddar-jack cheese), Holy-Cowboy (two patties plus American cheese, lettuce and mayo) and Carolina Pride (messy but delicious including sautéed onions, chili, cheese, coleslaw and mustard).
Sandwiches and wraps are another great choice when dining at Loco Gecko. One of the most requested sandwiches is the Barnie Club which comes with grilled chicken, Swiss cheese, bacon and honey mustard. Or, if a wrap is more your style then the BBQ Chubby Checker is the perfect choice as it includes pulled pork with cheese and coleslaw.
Additional options at the restaurant include baskets, salads, and a family-favorite – pizza!
