Holidays on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

Christmas is a very special time of year in Myrtle Beach and one of the highlights of the season is Holidays on the Boardwalk, which is held Saturdays in December.

You may be used to walking along the Boardwalk in the summer when the heat is beating down and children are trying not to drop their recently purchased ice cream cones. During the winter, however, the Boardwalk becomes a peaceful place and in December it is lit up for the holidays. Grab you camera and get some Christmas photos of your kids, or just enjoy the scenery and the ocean in the near distance.

Saturdays this month are special at the Boardwalk as special events are held for those visiting Myrtle Beach during the Christmas season.

Holidays on the Myrtle Beach BoardwalkThe events began on Nov. 30, but there are still a few Saturdays left to get in on the action!

For instance, Saturday, Dec. 14 will be a fun day for all. There will be a visit by Caleb the Camel, an evening Ugly Sweater Christmas Party (it’s kid friendly), train rides for the little ones and musical entertainment by Elvis and The Rileys. Plus the man in red – Santa – will be there as well!

On Dec. 21, much of the same events will be going on. Caleb the Camel, Santa appearances and train rides will be offered plus there will once again be music by The Rileys and Elvis as well as entertainment by Carolina Vocals, a youth singing group.

To close off the holiday season, on Dec. 28 there will be train rides, live music and Caleb the Camel will be there as well.

There is nothing better than visiting Myrtle Beach during the holiday season! With so many Christmas shows and events, plus low room rates, you can’t go wrong.
