Family Friendly Halloween Events 2014 Near Captain’s Quarters
Captain’s Quarters Resort is Myrtle Beach’s premier destination for families and there are few holidays that guarantee pure family fun quite like Halloween. When you combine the two, you are in for a real treat! Between the candy, costumes, and parties, there are few reasons to not have a good time, especially if you happen to be staying at Captain’s Quarters Resort.Halloween is kind of a big deal for this resort – to say the least. The resort mascot, Salty the Shark, celebrates his birthday on October 24 so Halloween is one of his favorite holidays. Every year he hosts a Birthday Party, followed the next day by a Halloween party at the Level 6 Entertainment & Bowling Center at Captain’s Quarters. This year, the Halloween Party will feature costume contests for the various age groups, including adults and a family costume category. There will also be a DJ and plenty of other fun, family friendly activities. The party starts at 3 pm on October 25th and goes until 7pm and you won’t want to miss out on the fun!
For a real haunted treat, venture downtown to visit the Ripley’s Haunted Adventure attraction. Located at 9th Avenue South on Ocean Boulevard, this terrifying maze is the #1 haunted house at the beach – and it’s not hard to see why! Live zombies, ghosts, and goblins lurk around every twist and turn – will you be able to find your way out? The haunted adventure is open through Halloween weekend from 11am – 9pm Sunday – Thursday and 11am – 11pm Friday and Saturday.
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk will also host its own spooky events throughout the month of October. Boardwalk Fright Nights will take place on weekends from October 3rd – November 1st and will include roaming zombies and live entertainment.
