Myrtle Beach is full of family fun and that includes state parks! There are two state parks not far from Captains Quarters Resort. One is located in Myrtle Beach, the other just a short drive south in Murrells Inlet. Both of these nearby parks offer family fun all summer long.

One of the main attractions on a Myrtle Beach vacation, and certainly the tallest at 187 feet, is the Skywheel — a giant Ferris wheel that opened on May 20, 2011. Youll find the Skywheel (well, you cant really miss it !) close to Pier 14 and the focus of the oceanfront boardwalk and promenade, only a short distance away from Captains Quarters resort.
