Valentine’s Day Activities Near Captain’s Quarters Resort

We’ve already laid out some of the reasons why Captain’s Quarters is the best hotel in Myrtle Beach for couples, but if you’re planning a romantic get-away this Valentine’s Day you’ll also need to know some of the Valentine’s events going on around Myrtle Beach.

Valentine Events

Zulu Tapas Lounge
Dinner and entertainment will be provided at a “Night of Tru Romance” on February 14. The entertainment will be provided by Tru Sol, a popular local group that performs soulful Motown classics and modern Hip Hop and R&B, perfect for a romantic setting to you evening. The night also includes a dinner for two with salad, steak, lobster stuffed mashed potatoes and dessert. The price is $70 per couple and reservations can be made by calling 843-213-1730.

Carolina Improv
On Feb. 14, 15 and 16 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. this improvisational comedy group will be performing Cupid’s Comedy Capers, an adults only show with love and relationship themes. Tickets are $14. On Friday, February 15, at 9 p.m. the group will also perform a “Trashy Novel” show. Guests are encouraged to bring romance novels that cast members will use as inspiration or more for their skits.  Tickets for this show are $10. But if you go to the earlier show you can get in for free to the Trashy Novel show.

If you come to Captain’s Quarters in Myrtle Beach for Valentine’s Day you can have a romantic night but also enjoy lots of other things. Romance isn’t the only thing going on in Myrtle Beach that weekend.

Other events

Myrtle Beach Marathon
You can cheer on thousands of runners as they run a 26.2 mile loop around Myrtle Beach. There are sure to be colorful costumes and characters to enjoy, as well as lots of events and specials around the race course.

Lee Brice at the House of Blues
Country musician Lee Brice and The Cadillac Black will be performing at the Myrtle Beach House of Blues on February 14. You can hear Brice perform “A Woman Like You”, his hit single that topped the charts in April, as well as some of his newest songs. Tickets are $25 in advance and $28 the day of the show.

Styx at the House of Blues
You can sing along to some of the most well-known songs of the 70s and 80s by going to see Styx perform on Feb. 16. You’ll be “sailing away” on good times. Tickets are $32 in advance and $35 the day of the show. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. though there are a few introductory bands before Styx takes the stage.
