Top Fall Events in Myrtle Beach
Fall is just around the corner and there are multiple reasons one might have for visiting Myrtle Beach during the time. Beyond great weather and lower rates, there are many fall festivals and events that draw families to the Myrtle Beach area.
We’ve compiled a list of the top fall events in Myrtle Beach that you may want to check out:
South Carolina’s Largest Garage Sale: The self-proclaimed biggest garage sale in the state will be taking place on Sept. 7 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The sale starts early – at 7 a.m. and only runs until 2 p.m. so it’s best to arrive early (plus you will have a better choice of items if you are one of the first people in the door). There’s no charge to get in but you will have to pay $3 to park. Get your wallet out and get ready to so some bargain shopping!
Pawley’s Island Festival of Music and Art: This yearly fall celebration takes place from Sept. 19 until Oct. 12 with a variety events taking place at different venues. Ticket prices vary for each events and range from free for some events up to $150 for a wine gala. A lot of the events during the Pawley’s Island Festival of Music and Art take place at the Reserve Golf Club of Pawley’s Island but there are other locations as well. Whether you want to witness spectacular sidewalk chalk masterpieces as they come alive or enjoy a live concert by Elise Testone, your family will not be disappointed.
St. John’s Greek Festival: This annual Myrtle Beach festival hosted by St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church is one of the most popular of the fall festivals. The amazing Greek food prepared for the festival is one of the main reasons people make it a point to go to this festival. From gyros to spanakopita to pastries, you may just have to come back for seconds. The Greek Festival also includes live music, dancing, activities, and more. There is a small charge to get in but it’s worth it! This festival takes place from Sept. 26 to 29.
Harvest Home Weekend Festival: The Harvest Home Weekend Festival is a great event to attend to get into the fall spirit. Located at Brookgreen Gardens on Oct. 12 and 13, this fall festival includes fun family activities where you can assemble a scarecrow, decorate a pumpkin, go on a hayride and enjoy live entertainment.
Taste of the Town: On Oct. 22, you can have a chance to sample food from a variety of local Myrtle Beach restaurants all in one place. The annual Taste of the Town is a yearly gathering at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center where attendees can try foods from a seafood restaurant one minute, then an Italian restaurant the next! If you love food then you won’t want to miss this fall event.
