Things to do in April at Captain’s Quarters Resort
April is a great month to visit Captain’s Quarters as the resort and the surrounding area begin to gear up for the summer season. Here are just a few of the things you can do this month while visiting this family-friendly resort.
Elvis Fest- The inaugural Elvis Fest is coming to Broadway at the Beach and Legends in Concert, a partner of Captain’s Quarters and Vacation Myrtle Beach. This festival will begin on April 5 at 8 p.m. with a showing of Viva Las Vegas at Broadway Commons. The following day there will be face painting and a blue suede shoes scavenger hunt at Center Court at Broadway at the Beach. The event wraps up at Legends in Concert that night with the ultimate Elvis competition at 7 p.m. You can get more details on this Elvis event page.
If you’re looking for something else unique to do, you can come see a presentation on U.F.O’s by an expert on Area 51 on April 4 at 3 p.m. also at Legends in Concert.
April also marks when Captain’s Quarters will begin having live music by the pool on Saturdays. The schedule is subject to changing weather conditions but if the weather is nice you can plan on being able to relax or dance poolside with some great tunes to guide your way. Here’s the full poolside music schedule.
This month the resort also starts back in with the regular Fire and Hula shows, as well as an old-fashioned cookout prior to each show. The cookout and shows are generally scheduled for each Saturday after mid-April. You can see the full schedule on the Captain’s Quarters event page.
And yet another reoccurring event that kicks off this month are the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball games. In nearby TicketReturn.com stadium, this minor league baseball team will face off against other teams in great games that make for a perfect night out on your Myrtle Beach vacation. Also, at the end of many of the games is a fireworks display that caps off the evening perfectly. Here’s the full Pelican’s schedule.
