Coming to Myrtle Beach for an October Adventure? Here’s a look at the events that will be happening at and around Captain’s Quarters Myrtle Beach Resort.
If you’re into trivia, then get yourself over to the resort’s Loco Gecko Beach Shak at 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday for three hours of trivia and fun.
Guests Captain's Quarters and all Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts will be showing off their Mustangs, Classic Fords and Harleys at the 1st Annual Fall Mustang, Classic Ford, & Harley Show. This is going to be held in the vacant lot across from Captain’s Quarters Resort. The date of this show is Friday October 5th and it’s from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Prizes are going to be awarded for turn out. If by chance it is raining the event will be in the 1st level of the resort’s parking garage. You can read more about it in the car show blog post.
Salty is going to be busy towards the end of the month. On Friday 26th you can join him for his birthday party on level 6 at 4 p.m. The following day at 3.00 p.m. he will be hosting a Halloween Costume Party in the level 6 Entertainment Center. This party starts at 3.00 p.m. on 27th and is open to the public and goes on for 4 hours.
There will be a number of events down the coast at Murrell’s Inlet. From October 10 – 20 you can visit the Seacoast Artist Guild's 9th Annual Fall Art Show & Sale, which will be held at Inlet Square Mall. This is an opportunity to support local artists, who are donating 25% of money spent on local art to the Guild’s Training & Scholarship Fund. On October 11 there’s an open house at 5:30 p.m. at the Murrells Inlet/Garden City Fire Department. The kids can check out fire trucks and enjoy the bounce house that will be there as well as free hot dogs and balloons.
Sunday October 14 sees the holding of the 13th Annual Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-Off, which starts at 12 p.m. at Spuds Waterfront Dining. There will be live bands and prizes for the Hottest Chilli and the Best Use of South Carolina Ingredient. Admission to this event is free. The last event of the month at Murrell’s Inlet will be the 1st Annual Murrells Inlet Spearfishing Tournament & Lionfish Rodeo on October 25 – 27. This is a new annual event open to scuba and free divers.
