Plan a Date Night in Myrtle Beach
There are few things more romantic than a date night at the beach. Whether you are a enjoying a couple’s getaway or are just taking advantage of a rare kid-free evening, you are sure to find plenty to do to get those fireworks going.
If you are looking for oceanfront fun, look no farther than the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. This mile-long stretch is located in the downtown area just a few miles north of Captain’s Quarters Resort and is packed with fun things to do. Enjoy a little alone time and spectacular views with a ride 
on the famous SkyWheel or let your wild side loose at one of the downtown thrill rides. After all of the fun and excitement, grab a bite to eat at one of the popular Boardwalk restaurants like Bandito’s Cantina, Pier 14 Bar & Grille, or Pier House Restaurant. The Boardwalk also hosts live entertainment and lively events throughout the year.
Another popular one stop shop for fun and entertainment is Broadway at the Beach. Reconnect with your inner child with some of the Pavilion Park carnival rides or stock up on peanuts and crackerjacks for a Myrtle Beach Pelicans game. For more traditional date options, enjoy one of the fantastic Broadway dining options, like Liberty Steakhouse, King Kong Sushi, Landry’s Seafood and then kick back for a movie at Carmike Cinemas. Or, if you want a more adult evening, hit Celebrity Square after sundown when the local bars and clubs come to life. No matter what type of date you have in mind, Broadway at the Beach can deliver.
Take advantage of scenic views in a posh, modern environment at Market Common. Located towards the south end of the beach, Market Common offers an upscale retail and dining environment and boasts a plethora of unique restaurants. Nosh on succulent sushi and creative cocktails at Co Sushi or enjoy home style cuisine and home brews at Gordon Biersch. After dinner, peruse the shops and avenues, visit Valor Park, or take a carriage ride around the venue.
If you are looking for a little old fashioned “wining and dining” – fret not, as the beach delivers in that area as well. Sip on samples of fine wines from around the world and nibble on tantalizing tapas at Boom Boom Wine Room, located right off Kings Highway and 76th Avenue North. Prime chops can be found at Thoroughbreds, classic cuisine at The Library Restaurant, fresh seafood at Aspen Grille, and French favorites with a lowcountry flare at Croissant’s Bistro – to name just a few. Few realize the culinary mecca that Myrtle Beach has become but a short venture from Captain’s Quarters will reveal plenty of upscale and palate pleasing options.
Of course, many guests prefer to keep it simple with a casual, laid-back dinner on-site at Loco Gecko Beach Shak or even a beachfront romantic picnic, if you are feeling really creative. Then, head upstairs to Level 6 Entertainment and Bowling Center and enjoy an evening of friendly competition. The Level 6 Entertainment center offers 20 individual bowling lanes, more than 2,000 square feet of arcade area, and even the Level Six Bar where you can kick back and sip on your favorite cocktail and refuel with a few snacks.
