Myrtle Beach Vacation Guide

So, you’ve decided to take your family on a vacation to Myrtle Beach this summer? We think you’ve made a great choice! Whether this is your first time vacationing in Myrtle Beach or you are a return visitor, we hope you will find our guide below handy for all things Myrtle Beach.

Beach: The beach is the main attraction here in Myrtle Beach. All of the beaches are free to enjoy, however if you choose to, you can rent an umbrella and pair of chairs for the day (or longer) from the local lifeguard stand. While parking is free at our resort for guests (one pass per room), if you choose to head to other parts of the beach you may find that there are limited free lots as well as paid parking lots and metered street parking. Utilizing the beach during your stay is one of the best free things you can do on your family vacation!

Dining: There are so many delicious restaurants to choose from in Myrtle Beach. First, we suggest checking out our dining right here on site! You don’t have to get in your car to enjoy an oceanfront breakfast or have a family pizza dinner at Loco Gecko Beach Shak. Second, if you decide to go out to eat, we recommend reviewing which restaurants you can save at by using your VMB Card. Third, feel free to ask our front desk agents where they recommend eating. With so many good options to choose from it can be hard to pick!

Attractions: With an array of attractions in the Myrtle Beach area you may find yourself overwhelmed with choices! If you prefer to spend your vacation out and about it can be a good idea to visit attractions all in the same area within one day, to avoid having to drive all over town. For example, you can easily visit the Boardwalk, SkyWheel, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! and Pier 14 all in one day without having to drive to each attraction. Or, your family can visit Broadway at the Beach and check out Ripley’s Aquarium, WonderWorks and a show at Legends In Concert all in the same day. Plus there are plenty of delicious restaurants at both locations so you don’t have to leave for tasty food.
