Make Memories at Pavilion Nostalgia Park at Broadway

Though the historic Pavilion Park no longer resides oceanfront, guests can still re-live the glory days of this once booming Myrtle Beach attraction by visiting the “Pavilion Nostalgia Park” at Broadway at the Beach. Many of the original Pavilion Park rides were transferred to Broadway along with several new and exciting additions!

Guests looking for a thrill will feel right at home at Pavilion Nostalgia Park. Hop on board the Pirate Ship for a swashbuckling good time or hold on with all your might on the Cliff Hanger. Other exhilarating thrill rides include Speed, Freak-Out, Frog Hopper, Wave Swinger, and the Rocket Flyer, a truly one-of-a-kind carnival ride that stands at a whopping 180 feet tall!

For a more tame experience, check out the Giant Slide. This ride is hard to miss and is one of the largest dry slides on the east coast. Guests simply follow the stairs to the top and enjoy the gentle 180 foot long slide towards the bottom. Guests can also re-connect with their inner child at the Herschel-Spillman Carousel or enjoy a little friendly competition with bumper cars.

If you have little ones in tow, head to Pavilion West, the portion of the park dedicated to kiddie rides. Options here include miniature cars, spinning teacups, mini-motorcycles, and the brand new Myrtle Turtle Coaster. Rides in this area are more appropriate for guests ages 2 – 8, depending on height requirements and ride experience.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true carnival experience without carnival games! And, once again, the Pavilion Nostalgia Park at Broadway delivers. Take a break from the rides to get in a round of darts or try your hand at knocking down wooden milk bottles... we promise it’s not quite as easy as it seems! Guests can also win prizes with rubber duck picks or win a nautical friend at the fish bowl ping pong toss. The Pavilion Nostalgia Park also offers the Nostalgia Arcade which boasts more than 45 classic video and arcade games.

And, don’t forget to refuel with a little finger-licking carnival food! From funnel cakes, caramel apples, and cotton candy to just about anything you can imagine on a stick or fried, the food vendors at the Pavilion Nostalgia Park are sure to please your palette. The Pavilion Nostalgia Park at Broadway at the Beach offers family friendly fun at a price you can afford. The park is open year round, though the hours do vary by season. Guests may purchase individual ride tickets or purchase an unlimited ride wristband. Rides with individual tickets range from $2 - $5 and are better for enjoying one or two rides while the wristbands offer the better bang for your buck at $25 for unlimited rides.
