Labor Day in Myrtle Beach at Captain’s Quarters Resort08/19/2013
Traditionally Labor Day has come to be celebrated by most Americans as symbolizing the end of summer, and it marks the last long weekend of the year before schools start back for the new school year.
It’s a perfect time for your final summer trip and Captain’s Quarters is in the middle of all the Myrtle Beach Labor Day action.
Captain’s Quarters is only a short drive away from the town of Surfside Beach and their Endless Summer Celebration, where the community gathers to celebrate life at the beach. There will be live entertainment, food and more from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Surfside Beach pier.
You can also celebrate the final blush of summer at one of the last Hot Summer Night concerts at the nearby Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The concert series has been going all summer and you can listen to live music with the sound of the playing accompaniment on Thursday, August 29 or on Saturday, August 31 as part of your Labor Day celebrations. The concerts are held in Plyer Park from 8 to 11 p.m.
Captain’s Quarters itself will also offer tons of things to do for guests.
Salty the Shark will be making appearances around the resort Labor Day weekend and Greg Holt, the beach’s best magician will be performing for resort guests young and old alike on Saturday August 31 from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. You can also catch Chief Kamu’s Fire and Hula performance on August 31 from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. For a full list of the things going on at Captain’s Quarters visit the resort events page.
Or you don't have to plan anything other than just spending the day on the beach or at the huge poolscape at Captain’s Quarters and then grabbing dinner somewhere- maybe on the deck at Locko Gecko, just right across the street.
You have tons of great Labor Day celebration options when you stay at Captain’s Quarters Resort!
