Labor Day is right around the corner – do you have your plans nailed out? If you will be lucky enough to be in Myrtle Beach with your family, you can rest assured that you won’t be short on things to do! Check out some of the top Myrtle Beach Labor Day Weekend events happening near Captain’s Quarters Resort:

Beach, Boogie, & BBQ Festival – Gather your family and head to Horry Georgetown Technical College Conference Center at Market Common (less than 5 miles away) for one of the area’s tastiest festivals! The 10th Annual Beach, Boogie, & BBQ Festival takes place Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, making it the perfect place to celebrate Labor Day Weekend in Myrtle Beach. This succulent event offers over $9,500 in cash prizes and draws the biggest and best BBQ connoisseurs from across the nation. Sample items like wings, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and plenty of original homemade sauces. This event will also include a wings competition on Friday, live entertainment, car show on Saturday, arts and crafts vendors, beer and wine garden for the adults and plenty of food for purchase. Stop by between 6 and 9:30 p.m. on Friday or 12 to 10 p.m. on Saturday to see what all the fun is about!

Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine, & Spirits Festival – In its fifth year, this festival is being held for the first time during Labor Day Weekend from September 4 to 6. Taking place at Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach, it will begin with Chocolate Under the Moon where spectators can enjoy live music, delicious desserts and watch a mixology challenge. The second day of the event will feature Brews ‘N the Beach Craft Beer Event where a variety of craft beer will be available for sampling as well as live music and delicious food options. The final day will include the Grand Tasting Tent where participants can taste wine as well as gourmet hors d’oeuvres while enjoying live music. Tickets are $50 for the entire weekend or $20 per day. September 5 will also feature a Broadway at the Beach fireworks show at 10 p.m. This event will be taking place less than 4 miles from Captain’s Quarters Resort!

Hot Summer Nights – The nearby Myrtle Beach Boardwalk will be ending its family-friendly Hot Summer Night promotion with some final events during Labor Day Weekend, located only about 2 miles from Captain’s Quarters Resort. To start the weekend, on September 4, they will be hosting the finale for Boardwalk’s Got Talent at Plyler Park. This summer-long talent show has featured a variety of skills and ages and will come to a close on Labor Day Weekend where the winner will receive a price package valued at over $1,000. On September 5, families can check out the Arts and Crafts Show, located between 8th and 9th Avenue North beginning at noon. On September 6 head over to the I Love Sugar Stage at Plyler Park for live music from 7 to 10 p.m.
