Cinco de Mayo is cause for a fiesta no matter where you are, but if you’re vacationing in Myrtle Beach that’s even more of a reason to load up on chips and salsa and celebrate.

Cinco de Mayo foodCaptain’s Quarters Resort is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, meaning you’re close to all the Cinco de Mayo action. Here are a few places that are sure to have something going on or will help get you in the Cinco de Mayo spirit:

Burrofest and the Stache Dash
The main event that you’ll want to check out is Fiesta del Burro Loco’s Burrofest. This all-day event is the fiesta to end all fiestas. With live bands, food and drink specials and more, this is THE place to celebrate Mexico’s independence with a crowd. Burrofest also includes the 5 “que” Stache Dash on May 3. So if you’re looking for a major party on Cinco de Mayo, make sure to check out Burro Loco.
