Legends In Concert Holiday Show: The Legends In Concert Holiday Show is going on now until Dec. 21. This Myrtle Beach Christmas show features tribute artists representing Elvis, Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston and the Blues Brothers. Hot Jersey Nights Christmas Special at Palace Theatre: The Palace Theatre in Myrtle Beach is the host of the “Hot Jersey Nights Christmas Special” which runs through Dec. 21. This show, which is new for 2013, features music of Frank Valli and the Four Seasons with the addition of Christmas song classics as the entertainers are surrounded by holiday decorations. The South’s Grandest Christmas Show at the Alabama Theatre: The Alabama Theatre Christmas show is considered one of the best in the area. Carolina Improv Whose Holiday is it Anyway and bi-Polar Express: If you want to laugh this Christmas check out the Carolina Improv shows “Whose Holiday is it Anyway” and “bi-Polar Express” at the Uptown Theater in the Myrtle Beach Mall. These shows are centered around improv comedy that deals with the holidays, with the “Whose Holiday is it Anyways” show which is appropriate for families and the “bi-Polar Express” that is made for adults. Since it is improv, each show is different. That way, if you want to go to more than one show you won’t see the same thing twice. Carolina Opry Christmas Special: “The Carolina Opry Christmas Special” is a seasonal show that has been taking place in Myrtle Beach for nearly 30 years. This year, La Toya London of American Idol will be joining the cast along with other talented singers and performers including All That of America’s Got Talent who will perform specially choreographed dance numbers. The theater itself contains 35 Christmas trees, dozens of wreaths, lights and more! This Myrtle Beach Christmas show runs on most days through January 3.
Christmas at Pirates Voyage: Christmas at Pirates Voyage incorporates the story of Captain Scrooge where toys coming alive! Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland: Not a typical show, Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is a drive-through light show that is set to music that you play through your vehicle’s radio. A beautiful sight, this show takes place at the TicketReturn.com Field (where the Myrtle Beach Pelicans play) and is open daily (including holidays) in the evening through January 5. Night of a Thousand Candles: A walk-through light show, Night of a Thousand Candles takes place each year at Brookgreen Gardens. This show takes place on limited dates: Dec. 5-7, 12-14, and 19-21 and is a tradition for many. The gardens are filled with tons of candles (more than 5,500 to be exact) as well as various twinkling additional lights that are draped throughout the bushes and trees of the gardens. They will also have cider and live entertainment during this Christmas event.
